About Leah and Business Of Art
Living with an artist and being involved in the daily triumphs and struggles of an art career has given me an intimate knowledge of what an artist faces and what it takes to make it in the arts. I highly respect anyone who has the dedication and commitment to choose it as a career.
My husband made that choice over ten years ago and now enjoys a successful art career (you can learn more about Jerry on his website). Between running my own web design and marketing business, managing my husband’s business and promotion, and gaining helpful insights from established artists, I have learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. When we are at art events I often receive comments from artists that they could use a “Leah” or someone to manage their career. Most artists don’t have the time, desire or skills because their focus is on being in the studio and doing what they do best – producing art. So I thought, why not share my knowledge and experience with others to help them grow and achieve success in their careers as well, and offer my time to help those that don’t have the time or resources themselves?
Choosing a career in art isn’t always an easy road, but it can be very rewarding, inspiring, and your work will be a lasting legacy for others to enjoy. My husband and I both love art and have a desire to help artists succeed. That is why I decided to offer my knowledge to others and help in any way I can. Thank you for visiting my blog and sharing your gift with the world.

I’ll leave you with this quote from Robert Henri’s book
‘The Art Spirit’
“When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressing creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disrupts, upsets, enlightens, and he opens ways for a better understanding. Where those who are not artists are trying to close the book, he opens it, shows there are still more pages possible.”
